Section Officers

Chair – Jeanette M. Pascuzzi-Heacock

Jeanette is passionate about enabling people to be empowered
in transforming their health for a life fully realized. Because the joy of a life well-lived, is in “learning how to dance in the rain”.

She is the catalyst to activating high-performing, teams to create the possible in responsible human health innovation leveraging, the human element within global strategic operating processes and systems. Our Teams create trans-formative change for shareholders, care-givers, and patients. With over 30 years of industry, managed markets and health system provider experience, she draws out the unique combination of skills, experiences, perspectives, from all that is to be human, and leverage structured-agile, proven process methodologies and systems to deliver exceptional results that grow people and the companies they serve.

A senior member of ASQ since 2004, she holds ASQ certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Quality Auditor. She also holds a Lean Six Sigma Master credential from Villanova University, Certified Change Practitioner credential from Prosci®, GE CAP, Dale Carnegie and Affirmational Inquiry-Case Western University Weatherhead School of Management. Drexel University awarded an MBA in Marketing University of the Sciences in Philadelphia cum laude BS Pharmacy PA and NJ State Boards of Pharmacy Registrations. She is the process of completing her PMP credential.

Landmark – Curriculum for Living and Communications Graduate. Jeanette has contributed to ASQ as a Speaker, Education committee member, exam proctor and her company received two Large Company of the Year Recognitions for her contributions to the ASQ. Jeanette contributes her time shaping and influencing the pharmaceutical industry having served on the board of PBIRG as VP Business Committees. She volunteers with the Life Science PA and Bio NJ Associations to further the advancement of Life Sciences in the Greater Philadelphia Region. She mentors and directs committees and programs for Healthcare Businesswoman’s Network.

Chris Connors

Dr. Chris Connors is an ASQ certified Six-Sigma Black Belt. He has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Past Chair and Treasurer ˗ Tom Petrocella

Tom Petrocella

Tom is a passionate quality professional. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. He has served the ASQ Philadelphia section as Program Chair, Vice Chair, and Chair-Elect. A manufacturing professional starting out as a machinist and CNC Programmer was exposed to quality throughout his career and discovered a passion for the quality profession where he would assist in quality until moving into quality full time. Allowing him to indulge his curiosity into metrology, statistics, document control, and technical writing along with many other aspects of quality. One item on his five year plan is to join the various technical committees that define the standards the world works to, to help understand, define, and shape the principals driving the various standards. As a member of ASQ his interactions with other quality professionals has helped him create a robust personal body of knowledge from which to draw from.

Secretary – Linda Olds

Linda is a Quality professional who is passionate about Quality in everything she does. An ASQ member since the mid-80’s, she is a senior member with ASQ certifications as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CQM/OE), and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). She is also an ISO 9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor. Before coming to the DE/PA area, she served the Los Angeles, CA and Orange Empire, CA ASQ Sections in Leadership Team positions as: Job Placement Chair, Newsletter Chair, and Secretary; and regularly served as a co-proctor for certification exams for the Orange Empire ASQ Section. Coming to the DE/PA area in 2012, she has served the Philadelphia Section for several years as a co-proctor for certification exams and helped on the Quality Conference Committee in 2017.

Linda has over 30 years of experience with Boeing/McDonnell Douglas in numerous Quality positions, on commercial and military aircraft, satellites, and most recently, helicopters, and has had direct customer interfaces with the FAA, NASA, DCMA, etc. She also has several years of experience with AT&T Technologies as a Field Quality Manager. In addition to ASQ, Linda has been a member of Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE) for over 20 years and served many Board positions for the Orange County, CA Chapter of SAMPE. Linda holds a B.A in Liberal Studies (and a Teaching Credential) and a B.S. in Industrial Technology/ Quality Assurance; both are from California State University Long Beach. Additionally, she completed the coursework for the Master’s Degree in Quality from California State University Dominguez Hills. Linda also volunteers time with the Friends of Bear Library in DE and with the Friends of the Upper Chichester Library in PA where she serves as Treasurer. While Linda is currently searching for her next Quality position, she is excited about joining the ASQ Philadelphia Leadership Team as the Secretary for 2019!

Ray Lofti

Ray is currently a consultant for Teleflex (Arrow International) in Limerick, Pennsylvania. He serves as the Chair for ASQ’s Section 0505 Mid-Atlantic Pharmaceutical/Biomedical Discussion Group and has been a past chair of the Section. He has been a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering Assembly and Packaging at Orthovita and Senior Principal Product Development Engineer at CertainTeed Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin and a M.S. in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Special Interest Groups Leaders

K-12 Education and KAPE (now MAAPE) Liaison Chair ˗ Dave Gondak

Dave is the Director of Educational Services at Strategic Source, Inc. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Pennsylvania’s largest teachers’ union and led the strategic organizational and management development of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA). He currently serves as the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for the Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence (KAPE) – Pennsylvania’s Baldrige Quality improvement organization – and as K-12 Education Chair for the Philadelphia Section 0505 of the American Society for Quality. Dave has a B.S. in Education from the Pennsylvania State University. and a M. Ed. in Secondary Education. He taught chemistry and science at Central Bucks High School West. He also received his Principal’s Certification from Lehigh University. Dave recently received a Special Service award from the Section Leadership. Programs and Events ˗ Jeff Korsyn

Jeff has 30 years of manufacturing experience including industrial, automotive, chemical, aerospace, electronics, and defense with General Motors, Dow Chemical, Eaton, Airborne Systems, and Kimberly Clark Professional.
Jeff started his career at The Flex-Hesive Company, a small start-up adhesives and coatings firm and later joined Dow Automotive selling adhesives and sealants to the Big 3 automotive OEMs. An interface with General Motors led to a position at their Warren, MI technical center as a Manufacturing Engineer where Jeff was a member of the Team Corvette C5 launch team. As a manufacturing engineer he developed manufacturing processes, implemented precision locating fixtures and robotic automation. Jeff has held various other positions at General Motors over 15 years including Senior Process Control Manager and Plant Issue Team lead.
After GM, Jeff spent one year as the Quality Manager for an electronics division of the Eaton Corporation and two plus years as the Quality Manager for Airborne Systems, both serving the aerospace and defense industries. Jeff served as a National Account Manager – Manufacturing and Regional Industrial Distribution Specialist for Kimberly Clark Professional and recently joined the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center as a Technology Advisor supporting Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
Throughout his career, Jeff has been a change agent driving improvements in first time quality, process control, ISO compliance, warranty, customer satisfaction, and helping manufacturers leverage industry best practice to drive improvements in KPIs of safety, people, quality, productivity, cost, and environment. Jeff is active with the American Society for Quality and was the Chair of the Philadelphia Section in 2010 – 2011. Jeff is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, a GM Certified Shainin Red X Statistical Problem Solver, and holds a BS degree in management from Philadelphia University.

Education Co-Chair ˗ Tom Reed

Tom Reed is the Director of Quality and Operator Qualifications Platforms at Henkels & McCoy (Blue Bell, PA). He holds a CMQ/OE and MBA & MS from The University of Michigan. He is known by his passion for making improvements with critical thinking; i.e., Toyota Kata and enterprising A3-Reports, and in leveraging the company strategic planning processes. His enjoys his Project Management PMI PMBoK world with ISO9001:2015 quality standard of compliance at minimum in mind and Lean Six Sigma in his back pocket. Prior to working for Henkels & McCoy he was employed for fifteen years in automotive electronics manufacturing and supply with Ford Motor and Visteon Corporation.

Education Co-Chair ˗ Bob Bleau

Robert (Bob) Bleau is the Quality Assurance Manager at Moog Inc., in Springfield PA, Delaware County, where he maintains an AS9100 certified QMS for their military/aviation product lines. Originally schooled as an Electrical Engineer designing process control instrumentation, he was bitten by the Quality Bug early in his career while completing his MBA from Temple. A section member since 1985, and a senior member for over 25 years, Bob has attained his CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE, and most recently his Green Belt certifications. Bob previously served the section on the Education Committee, and has presented material concerning Risk Management techniques in a highly engineered product environment. At Moog, he has responsibility for prime customer interface for quality aspects, as well as FAA oversight. He regularly participates in Lean events at this Moog site as the CI POC, and engages his Moog counterparts at an international level. Prior to Moog, Bob held positions within the aviation and rail transportation industries, as well as process control/instrumentation companies in the surrounding area.

Golf Outing/Awards Chair – Kathy Maronski

Kathy is a ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence and Level One Lean. She holds an MBA and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. As a senior member of ASQ Kathy has served as the Section Chair, Education Chair and Awards Chair. Kathy has been a Quality Manager at the USSC Group Inc., and at Johnson Matthey Inc. While at Polaroid, Kathy’s most recent position was as a Variability Reduction Process (vrp) Program Manager who developed and ran a large scale worldwide enterprise improvement customized variability reduction program for camera and film manufacturing and new product development, as a precursor to Six Sigma.  She was selected to lead key initiative for $3B+ global firm. Webmaster, Newsletter and Job Posting – Alison Sudhalter

Alison is a senior member who has Alison Sudhalterbeen a member of ASQ since 2009 and holds her ASQ certification as a Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) and Quality Auditor (CQA). She was a past secretary for the section from 2010 – 2014. She has a B.S. in Special Education and a M.Ed. in Computer Science. Alison has over 13 years as a technical writer developing user documentation and online help for the OEM and software industry and over 17 years as a Documentation Specialist, Quality Assurance Analyst, Software Validation Engineer, IT Compliance Analyst and Senior Business Analyst. She worked primarily in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry providing IT quality assurance and compliance consulting. She specialized in pharmaceutical quality assurance policy and procedural writing, computer systems validation and change management for IT applications and infrastructure. She is currently working for Bimbo Bakeries USA in the IT Network Services group as a Senior Business Analyst/Technical Writer/Trainer.  She received the ASQ Section 0505 Outstanding Service Award for 2009 – 2010 and the National Member Leader Excellence Award for 2011 -2012.

Financial Auditor – Carl Vogel

Carl is a Senior Member of ASQ and has been a volunteer on the Philadelphia Section Leadership Team since 1996.  He has served on the Program Committee and became the first Publicity Chairman.  He was nominated as Vice Chair, Chair Elect and finishing as Section Chair in 2014.  Since then, he has served as Nominating Chairman, Audit Chairman and VOC Chairman.  He has received several honors from the Section, including the Irvin F. Hoffer Statistical Award. Carl is the Quality Systems Engineer at Johnson Matthey Noble Metals, NA in West Chester PA. He is a technically proficient quality and industrial engineering professional; 80% of his experience has been with biomedical metal components, ISO 13485 pharmaceutical software, cGMP pharmaceutical printing, and lab and process validation. He has transferred these quality principles to commodity-based industries including precious metal, printing and glass.

Certification Committee Chair – Bill “Doc” Watson

Bill has been employed with the Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA), under the Department of Defense for over the past forty (40) years, serving as a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for the Nuclear, Mechanical, Material and Chemical commodity areas. His duties with DOD primarily involve providing Contract Oversight of Defense Contractor facilities located in the Bucks County, PA area. His duties include Auditing Defense Contractors’ Products, Processes and Quality Systems to both Military Quality System requirements and ISO 9000 / AS 9100 Quality System requirements. He has taught Statistical Process Control (SPC) with DCMA, instructing members of DOD as well as Defense Contractors and Military Personnel in the use of Statistical Methods and Statistical Process Control. In addition, Bill occasionally works as a Staff Specialist with DCMA NSEO providing guidance to other QARs for Chemical, Material and Special Product Cleanliness matters. Bill is a graduate of LaSalle University (1976) with a BA in Biology. He currently maintains ASQ Certifications in four (4) Quality areas – Quality Technology, Quality Auditing, Quality Engineering, and in Quality Management. Bill has been a member of ASQ for over twenty seven (27) years, and has been active with the Philadelphia section of ASQ for the past twenty five (25) years. He has been a Senior Member of ASQ since 2007. He has served as a member of the Philadelphia section’s Education Committee for over ten (10) years and has also served as a “back up” Instructor for the Quality Auditor Refresher Course and the Statistical Methods Course and has taught the Quality Technician’s Refresher Course. Bill has served as a proctor of ASQ Certification Examinations for ASQ for over twenty three (23) years and has been a member of the ASQ Philadelphia Leadership Committee, serving as the Certification Chair for more than four (4) years.
