MEET THE STEERING COMMITTEE

Chad Haggerty, Chair/Sponsors  - Chad is the Director of Quality at Ulticom, Inc in Mt Laurel, NJ.  Chad is responsible for defining and specifying quality standards, methods, and procedures to ensure the certification and reliability of Ulticom's products. He has over 17 years experience in the software development as an embedded programmer, system analyst, project engineer, project manager, R&D manager, and Quality Management. Chad has a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from Drexel University. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), a Certified Quality Manager (CQM), and is a member of ASQ, SEI, and the IEEE Computer Society.

Tara Lerch, Logistics- Tara manages a testing team at Siemens Medical Solutions in Malvern, PA. This team is responsible for the test management and test automation for a sub-set of Siemens' software products. Tara has over 11 years experience in the software development industry in varying roles: Quality Manager, Test Designer, Test Manager, Project Manager, Resource Manager, and Product Planner. Tara holds an MS in Information Systems and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Her undergraduate study was done at Drexel University where she majored in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. She managed a few local restaurants prior to changing careers. Tara is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), and a Certified Internal Auditor.

Vic Nanda, Programs/Sponsors - Vic is a Quality Manager at Motorola at Horsham, PA. He is responsible for Quality Management System development as per ITIL, CMMi, and TL9000 requirements, and for mentoring Six Sigma improvement projects. He has over 11 years experience in the software industry in various roles, such as quality assurance, system testing, and software development. Vic has a MS degree in Computer Science from McGill University (Canada) and Bachelors in Engineering degree from Univ. of Pune (India). He is a Certified Quality Manager, Certified Software Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, and Certified in ITIL Foundations. He is an active writer on quality and process topics, and is the author of the books - ISO 9001:2000 Achieving Compliance and Continuous Improvement in Software Development Companies, and Quality Management System Handbook for Product Development Companies. He is a member of the reviewer panels of IEEE Software, ASQ Quality Press, and Software Quality Professional Journal. Vic is a Senior Member of the ASQ.

Kathy Lepold, Membership - Kathy is a member of the Tools & Methodology group at Siemens Medical Solutions in Malvern, PA. T&M is responsible for standard tools, services, and processes used within Siemens by the development organizations. Kathy has over 20 years experience in various positions in the software industry including analyst, designer, programmer, development manager, product manager, quality assurance manager, and project manager for solutions such as factory automation, near real-time database replication, system level database monitoring utilities, pharmacy, pension & medical billing, and developer productivity tools. Kathy is also project manager/coordinator for Siemens's annual ISO audits. Kathy attended MCCC and Gwynedd Mercy College, and is a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) and a member of ASQ.

Gia DiGiminiani, Communications - Gia is a Test Manager at Siemens Medical in Malvern, Pa., where she has been employed over the last 18 years. Gia currently manages testing for the EDM/Soarian HIM product, and has previously performed test design for the Soarian Critical Care application, as well as other areas within the Soarian product line. Gia has also held various programming positions in Third Party Billing Interfaces, Patient Accounting, and INVISION COR. Gia is a graduate of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Gia also attended The Chubb Institute in Springfield, and Penn State Great Valley campus in Malvern, earning certificates in computer programming.
