Introduction
The Philadelphia SPIN provides a forum where software professionals come together to share ideas on software process improvement which would benefit all participating organizations. The Philadelphia SPIN is a commercially neutral, non-profit organization affiliated with the American Society for Quality Philadelphia Section and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
Mission Statement
The Philadelphia SPIN is an non-profit organization of Software community professionals, under the sponsorship of the Philadelphia Section, ASQ, and SEI, formed to provide a free and open exchange of information, concepts and experiences in the area of software quality.
Objectives
The objectives of the Philadelphia SPIN are to:
- Raise the level of awareness of the importance of software quality.
- Present different techniques of implementing software quality concepts.
- Provide a forum for best practice exchange.
- Have local members speak of success stories that have lead to productivity improvements.
- Be a resource to software professionals.
- Create a networking opportunity with other software professionals.
