On Site Courses
We come to you
Most of
the day and evening courses are available for presentation at your company,
on your schedule with the availability of the instructor.
Additionally, each course can be presented with some customization for
your specific issues and areas of interest or concern.
All instructors will sign a Confidentiality Agreement to ensure your
private information. Details of
dates, times, place, and degree of customization are made directly with the
Instructor.
One
course that is only offered On-Site is the Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt
Training, course # ES 401. This
course is eight sessions or 56 hours of training in the DIMAC tools and their
applications with ‘hands-on’ training and ‘project completion and report to
management’ modules. This is not
a certification preparation course.
It is designed to train a team in the principles and produce ‘hard and
measurable’ results for the company.
Since
ASQ is a non-profit organization, the courses are priced to cover the costs of
the instructor and materials and supplies.
A savings of about 30% is typically realized when the course is delivered
at your facility. The savings come
from not holding it in rented space and providing food for breaks and lunch.
The
per-student fee for our On-Site courses is about 70% to 75% of the
per-student classroom fee. If you
consider transportation and accommodations costs to take the same course at a
convention or at a ‘for-profit’ organization, the savings are even more.
The
per-student fee is reduced an additional $25 for each ASQ member attending the
course (includes Sustaining Member companies).
On-Site training requires a minimum number of students for the
Section to take the course to you.
There must be at least six students to hold most courses.
This minimum requirement is increased to eight students for the
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO14001 and AS9100C courses because of the necessary
interaction and roll-playing to ensure understanding and applications.
Additionally, any prerequisites must be met or have been discussed and
agreed by the instructor.
If
you cannot meet the minimum enrollment the Section will, with your
authorization, advertise that this course is available to others in the
quality community at your facility in order to fill the classroom.
The billing will, of course, be kept separate.
For
more information, contact the identified Instructor, the
Section Education Chair
or Education Registrar.
