“Quality Management – From Deming to Six Sigma to Execution” Presented by Pete Geleta

May 23 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Quality Management Professionals are often tasked with solving problems caused by poor organizational execution. Without enlightened leadership this can be a difficult and thankless job.

W. Edwards Deming taught that, while the mathematics of process improvement and control are necessary, the education and commitment of leadership is crucial. Six Sigma provides a framework for leadership to understand the tools of quality management and implement them across an organization. Deming and Six Sigma both form the foundation for the next necessary step, the development of an execution culture.

Pete will review the progress of Quality Management from Deming to Six Sigma to the creation of an Execution Culture. He will discuss techniques for gaining the commitment of leadership to give Quality Management Professionals the support necessary for success.

Pete Geleta has experience as a Quality Manager and has had P&L responsibility for a large global business. Trained by W. Edwards Deming, he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt and Champion. He morphed his Six Sigma Champion role into that of “Chief Execution Officer”, responsible for making things happen in a multibillion dollar business. Pete currently mentors business leaders who wish to build an execution culture.
