Systems Thinking into 2018 – Yes, we still need it ! by ASQ Delaware Section past-Chair and current Section Officer presented by special guest John Lafferty
Many of us have our stake into the Quality Era of the 1980, 1990, Millenniums, and the next decade. Something, we forget is that the heart of every Quality Improvement effort starts and ends with “Systems Thinking”. This ASQ presentation will be all about Systems Thinking. The basis of Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Peter Scholtes, Joseph Juran, or even the world expert of Peter Senge – all start with looking at every problem as a “Solution” to improve a service or product. What would life be like without Systems Thinking?
Come hear the importance of this topic from problem identification, to solution development, to controlling the decision. Most importantly, how to maintain the system once it has been changed. Everyone from your Quality Auditor to Quality Manager could learn something from sharpening their skills.
John has a BS from Drexel University, an MS from Cabrini College, a 20 year teacher of teenagers from Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, 12 year Children’s Sunday School Teacher, and Certified Lay Minister for the Southeast District Eastern Pennsylvania Methodist Conference.
