Basic Quality Control BA100

Abstract:
This Basic Quality Control course is designed for new or returning quality professionals, line managers and staff employed in manufacturing or service companies. It will serve to learn about or refresh their knowledge of the “Why” the quality tools of histograms, data plotting, bell-and skewed shaped curves, when used correctly, lead to a high quality product and /or meet or even exceed a customer’s expectations.
This is an adult centered course for busy professionals. The classroom techniques will include lecture, individual participation, group problem discussion, case studies, and quizzes to test understanding.
A calculator with standard statistical functions will be provided.

Certified Quality Auditor Preparation/Refresher CP 180

Abstract:
This Certified Quality Auditor Refresher training course is presented in three hour sessions in the evening for 10 weeks. It is designed to help experienced auditors become better prepared for the CQA Examination.
Through discussion, review and practice, attendees will become thoroughly familiar with the complete body of knowledge for the exam.
Taking this course does not require you to sit for the next exam. The information can be used to learn the fundamental elements that a Quality Auditor should know and be prepared to implement.

Certified Quality Engineer Preparation/Refresher CP 200

Abstract:
This course provides a thorough overview of the quantitative methods likely to be present on the Certified Quality Engineer exam. It covers the ASQ body of knowledge and prepares individuals to take the examination given by ASQ and pass it.
This is accomplished by lecture, discussion and practice of those quantitative methods and tools likely to be on the exam during class time and take-home problems
Taking this course does not require you to sit for the next exam or any exams. This course can be used to learn the fundamental elements that a Quality Engineer should know and be prepared to implement.
The CQE Primer from the Quality Council of Indiana will be given to each participant.

Abstract:
The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is a professional who leads and champions process-improvement initiatives—everywhere from small businesses to multinational corporations—that can have regional or global focus in a variety of service and industrial settings.
A Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement.
The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges.

This course provides an understanding of the fundamental concepts of descriptive statistics useful in any manufacturing operation and for strong base for those who want to take and pass the various ASQ Certification Exams.
It is intended to give the student a basic knowledge of statistics by providing hands-on examples to illustrate statistical theory and its applications.
This is accomplished by determining the appropriate process variables for each statistical analysis and inputting the key values into the applicable equations.
Implementation of these powerful tools has been historically shown to increase productivity and quality while reducing operating costs.
This course is for anyone who wants a firm base in the fundamentals of statistics and the application of these mathematical tools to real-world manufacturing problems and situations.
