Al’s quality experience includes lecturing and teaching quality management, auditing and statistics at ASQ seminars, Penn State University, ASQ courses, and courses at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. 

 

He has over 35 years of industrial experience as a Quality Engineering Manager at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and at General Electric’s Switchgear Division in the area of quality assurance and productivity improvement.  He is a graduate of Villanova University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor. 

 

He is the principal of ATA Consulting and specializes in auditing, productivity and quality improvement, and training in statistics and auditing.  He has conducted in-plant training courses in quality auditing and statistical methods.

Art is currently the Director of Optima Performance, Inc. in West Chester, PA.  He has over 30 years of executive and management experience with Fortune 500 companies. Twenty of those years he has been involved in Quality Management, and he has initiated successful management systems in many organizations that have achieved ISO 9001 registration. 

 

Art first joined ASQ in 1974 and reactivated his membership in 1991.  Currently he is a member of IOS, and ACS.  Art is Past Chair of the ASQ Philadelphia section and Past Chair of the section's ISO Network cosponsored by DCCC and PACE.

 

His degrees are an MS in Physical Chemistry and a BA in Chemistry. Art is a certified ASQ/Plexus Instructor, Quality Management/SPC Instructor and Exam Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.

Tom is a CQE, PE and ASQ Fellow.  He has more than 45 years in teaching and industrial and consulting experience in service and manufacturing organizations to achieve Continuous Improvement, document Quality Systems and Process control and obtain ISO Certification.

Roy Kinkaid is an independent quality consultant (25+ years of experience) with an extensive background in the implementation of various quality management systems - Six Sigma, Baldrige, Continuous Improvement, ISO and the Carnegie Mellon Capability Maturity Model. 

 

He has practical process improvement experience in manufacturing, service, software, and electronic commerce industries, helping companies to achieve six sigma quality performance levels.  In addition Roy has hands on experience with change management, coaching and the facilitation skills necessary to implement a quality program. He has extensive experience working in Europe, the UK and Asia.

 

Roy has a degree in management/ statistics from Philadelphia University, certification in Six Sigma, and is a member of ASQ, the SEI, and IEEE Software Society.


John Lawson

 

John has over 33 years of management and consulting experience. He as worked in the

Quality Management field for the past 16 years.  John was a Sr. Consultant for Philip Crosby Associates for five years where he taught at Quality College and provided consulting support in Quality Management.

 

John is now an Executive Officer & Consultant with Optima Performance Partners, Inc., which provides consulting services in Quality Management and Business Performance Optimization.

J. R. brings a wealth of experience as an Aerospace Executive, Senior Program Manager, Engineer, and Systems Analyst for over 30 years.  As the internal and external Principal Consultant for Business Management with the world’s largest aerospace firm, there is no functional aspect of business operations he has not been directly involved with and experienced. 

He is a Certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and has been involved with developing High Performance Organizations on a professional and personal level for his entire career.  As a Program Manager at “Top Gun” ranges world-wide, J.R. specialized in the development of High Performance Work Teams with specific focus on training and development of fighter pilots, training Special Forces, providing field engineering and operational support to Intel and Counter-Terrorism operations.

He holds a Degree in Electronic Technology from TSU and a Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland.  He also completed the Strategic Studies Program at Carnegie Mellon Business Institute and the Strategic Leadership Program at the Goizueta Business School, Emory University. 

J. R. is currently involved in improving business strategy execution and developing World-Class organizations of every description and provides Executive Coaching, Mentoring, and Organizational Development sessions for management teams world-wide.

 

Sandy Miller is Vice President and Chief Information Officer for X-Stream LEAN, LLC.  She has been working with diverse Customers to develop and deliver Leadership, Green Belt and Black Belt training specific to their industry for over 20 years.  Facilitating process improvement events for multi-lingual, cross-functional teams from a variety of government and industry organizations has been her center of attention.  An outline of these activities follows:
